Since I moved to the new GoDaddy server I have been trying to bring back the look of the blog the way it was before. That means checking code, style, theme settings, plugins etc. to make sure they are working as I want them to. While browsing the settings I saw a small option in my dashboard
As you can see there is an option of WP Members Settings. I have used the plugin before at work.
Heres the description from the wordpress plugin page
WP-Members™ is a free membership management framework for WordPress® that restricts content to registered users.
Its a good one. Its awesome to have it. But the only problem I have is – “Do I need it ?”
Now it may seem to be a pretty dumb question when I ask this, but Ill be honest with you.
I have never thought of this blog as a platform of service or marketing. I do not have products to sell, promote or whatever. I set this blog up for my practice. As of yet , I haven’t thought of something ( Like promo codes, discounts, tutorials, ebooks etc.) that would require registration to the blog.
That being said many of you might consider me dumb and selfish. Many may even stop following. I understand. But I havent found a purpose for registration. You can read this blog offline.
